a thicker skin
we all have the same kind of shell when we were first introduced into this world:
none.
we were born fragile but we don't have to always be, if we choose not to.
we grow up, and meet a thousand problems that were tailor-made exclusively for us.
some that we chose to escape, some we learned to face, some we tried so hard to forget.
we all have the battles people would just consider a bump in the road.
but although none of us got a shell to protect us from the cruel reality,
from the journey of life we got our own better mechanism to (re-)gain sanity.
we might don't get to choose when to meet other people's unwanted sin,
but when we do: we got this, a thicker skin.
none.
